New Book The Temp Factor

September 1, 2012 (Powerhomebiz.com) The Temp Factor, by Cathy A. Reilly is now available through Universal Publishers. This comprehensive guidebook provides readers with key information on the three-sides of this working relationship: the staffing service, the temps and the client companies who hire them. Each of these business partners is directly linked and vital to the other in order to compete, deliver, and succeed.

Don’t let the word temporary fool you. This industry is substantial. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) labels it a “super sector” and reports revenue in 2011 at $98.3 billion.

Today’s temporary employment wears a whole new look that includes scientists, doctors, nurses, graphic designers, technology pro’s, lawyers, ex-military, and C-Suite executives.

Ongoing staffing challenges face modern organizations of every size, with rising caution to manage costs and respond to market changes with immediacy. The solution for many: turn to a more flexible and cost effective workforce . . . temps.

With temporary employment looking like a permanent trend as millions of temps arrive through company doors each business day, the timing could not be better for a book providing just-in-time insight from a client’s point of view.

The Temp Factor shows how to implement techniques for creating a new level of business intelligence in temporary employment. As a seasoned client of this industry, the author has been on the frontlines seeing what works, what doesn’t work, and where there are many missed opportunities that exist under this business partnership to capitalize on.

Reilly explains, “There’s no escaping the direct relationship between staffing services, temps, and client companies who hire them. Possessing a deeper cross-section of knowledge about each member of this working arrangement is not only beneficial; it’s a true distinguisher and the way to excel in this field.”
