Back to School: Essential Health Tips from Madame Michele Boisvert

September 16, 2013 (Powerhomebiz.com) Parents are busy these days. Whether with work, winding down summer activities or getting their children ready for back to school, there are many things to consider when preparing for the new school year.

Back to School means your child will be in close contact with friends and other classmates, and where there are groups of kids, there will be germs. It is important to keep your child as healthy as possible. Here are a few essential tips that medical professionals recommend to build and keep your child’s immune system strong.

First and foremost, it is essential for your child to get back to an established routine. Getting back into a rhythm of a nutritious dinner, a warm bath, playtime and a regular bedtime is imperative. Whether they are sleeping or just having some quiet time reading a book or listening to relaxing music in a room with soft lighting will set the pace for a peaceful night’s sleep. A restful and restorative sleep, eating nutritious meals, plenty of hydration and exercise is a conscious way to build up their immune system and stave off germs.

Hygiene at home and at school is also an important element to keeping their immune system strong. The simple habits of always washing their hands with warm, soapy water for at least a count of 15 and covering their mouth and nose when they cough or sneeze go a long way in keeping them healthy. It is advisable to use a tissue or, if one is not available, coughing and/or sneezing into their arm can help prevent the spread of cold and flu germs.

Although prevention is the best strategy, when cold and flu bugs, earaches, fevers and the occasional stomach ache show up – and they will – what can you do? First, it is best to keep your child at home to help prevent the spread of germs to other children and second, the use of alternative solutions such as homeopathy can be of great assistance in restoring your child’s health and well-being.

Homeopathy has been relied upon for centuries – from Hippocrates who was prescribing small doses of roots and herbs to treat numerous maladies (c. 400 BC) to homeopathy’s formal inception as a recognized practice in 1805 thanks to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann – to provide fast and effective relief to a variety of ailments in children and adults.

Today, the Homeocan and Homeolab Kids 0-9 range of homeopathic products are formulated by a pharmacist in state of the art facilities and using only the finest of ingredients. So if your child is feeling first-day jitters or comes home with an earache or fever, rest easy as moms have loved and trusted our formulas for over 20 years. The Kids 0-9 products provide safe and effective relief with great tasting, gluten free and sugar free homeopathic medicines and are available in better drug and health food stores in 13 countries.
