After gaining consciousness, I realized my shoulder and left arm were seriously injured. After weeks in the hospital, I underwent an intensive surgery that entailed a foot of titanium and 15 screws in to save my arm.” While Mureta’s arm was saved, his real estate business was failing without his physical presence. He knew he could no longer support himself and pay off medical bills while living in a hospital.
Luckily, a good friend visiting Mureta in the hospital convinced him to look into the mobile app industry, a completely foreign industry to Mureta who had purchased his first iPhone the night before the accident.
