December 3, 2011 (Powerhomebiz.com) Holiday Season is coming into town. While it’s a great time for people to celebrate the very first snow flakes of Christmas, it’s obviously a hard period for many others living in poverty and struggling in severe weather of winter. In collaboration with New York Cares the city’s largest volunteer organization, Taap.it will host “Tappy Hour: Drink for Free and Shop for a Cause” on 8th December from 7pm at Taap.it Headquarters.
“We think charity should start from day one. New York Cares provides those less fortunate with what they need and Taap.it is very proud to be a part of this meaningful campaign,” said Duy Huynh, Co-Founder and CEO of Taap.it.
Tappy Hour will host local up-and-coming artists, designers and jewelry lines in New York City. So within Taap.it mobile application, participants will have the chance to purchase many great deals and holiday gifts from all the vendors. Half of the proceeds from all purchases at the event will be donated to the Coat Drive program. Plus, everyone can feel free to donate your no longer use coats.
Partners Qdoba Mexican Grill and Bomb Lager Craft Beer will be alongside Taap.it raising money for New York Cares Coat Drive. They will also provide complimentary food and drinks.
Last year, from the great generosity of many sponsors, 58,000 low income New Yorkers not only got a coat but also received the warmth of human sharing. This year, New York Cares has a new target to give out 100,000 coats and keep disadvantaged people away from the cold season.
“We do believe that having a good cause and do it with a good heart will make some difference by bringing joys and happiness to people,” said Duy.
