This marketplace is a brainchild of two Calgary entrepreneurs – Ildar Sharafutdinov and Andrei Filonov. They started the marketplace because they got tired of “anonymous commerce, i.e. buying things without knowing their origin, their path to the consumer and overall manufacturing process. Ildar and Andrei want to show who stands behind the product, and tell the inspiring story of the creator. The founders envision this type of commerce to overtake “anonymous commerce” in the next decade, as more and more people will be looking for more details about the goods they purchase.
Currently the marketplace has around 100 sellers and growing. About 3000 products are represented almost from every province in Canada.
