The very same one from the Dole Juice TVC, SM ads, and Penshoppe billboards. Yup, Juice’s new celebrity blogger Mikael Daez has come a long way from when he first appeared on the runways of Philippine Fashion Week.
The model-turned-actor has since delved deeper into the world of showbiz. For starters, he was one of Marian Rivera’s two leading men in GMA7’s period drama series, Amaya. He currently plays every girl’s ideal man as the tall, dark, and handsome Nelson from primetime hit series My Beloved.
The 2011 remake of Temptation Island marked Mikael’s big screen debut, with no less than Solenn Heussaff as his leading lady. But there’s more to this up and coming celebrity than meets the eye. Mikael exudes a fun-loving boy next door vibe, but little does the public know that he’s actually a smartypants with academic honors under his belt.
A true blue Atenean from elementary to college, he was in the honors section throughout high school, and graduated with a management degree in 2010. Between tapings and photo shoots, Mikael finds the time to write a column for a national broadsheet and keep a personal blog. He writes food, travel, fashion, whathaveyou, and always manages to pull the audience in with his natural charisma.
