PrintPlace.com Expands Even More with ModernGreetings.com

May 13, 2011 (Powerhomebiz.com) Inc. 500 named PrintPlace.com as one of the fastest growing companies, and it is easy to see why. Recently, PrintPlace.com has hired 55 new employees and plans on reaching 100 by the end of the year 2011 and 400 by the end of 2012. The reason behind this company’s hiring boom? They have leased 28,000 sq ft in Grand Prairie to prepare for the launch of their new spinoff, ModernGreetings.com. In addition, PrintPlace.com launched UnitedGraphics.com last February and has plans for more expansion in the near future.

According to Shawn Peterson, founder and CEO of PrintPlace.com, the company plans to launch Modern Greetings in July of 2011. The new company, geared primarily to a female market, will offer fully customizable templates for wedding invitations, party invitations, photo books, announcements, and sculpted cards in many shapes and sizes. Clients will be able to create products that have their own unique touch by using the design tools provided. Modern Greetings will also offer gift ideas for clients to customize.

“One of the defining differences between Modern Greetings and its competition,” explains Peterson in an exclusive interview with RealPoints, “is that we will manage the customer’s order from placement through shipment, all under one roof.” He goes on to point out that because of PrintPlace.com’s expertise in high-quality printing, Modern Greetings will most likely take the lead in the printing arena as well as other areas such as mailing, die-cutting, and custom finishing.

ModernGreetings.com is not the only launch that PrintPlace.com has planned. In the works are a business-to-business site, which will offer online design and custom templates, and BookStyle.com, a site that provides on-demand publishing for both consumers and professionals. UnitedGraphics.com is another spinoff with heat-set web and commercial printing that has already set a trend for a $10 million annual revenue.

In explanation for the multiple expansions, Peterson says, “PrintPlace.com has been such a success that it would be a missed opportunity not to diversify. By launching these additional verticals, we are leveraging our expertise in manufacturing, technology, marketing, logistics and our intimate knowledge of printing into a line of goods that would extend beyond our extremely loyal PrintPlace.com customer base.”
