October 5, 2011 (Powerhomebiz.com) The Downtown Sarasota Art & Craft Festival returns to Main Street in downtown Sarasota on October 15 – 16, 2011 with the leading artists and crafters in the nation. This popular two-day outdoor showcase features unique and affordable quality art and crafts. Admission is free and open to the public.
All of the crafters will be present for the duration of the festival with their finest work, available to discuss their techniques and inspiration. The show spans Main Street from Lemon Avenue to 5 points Park.
American Craft Endeavors and Howard Alan Events, producers of the country’s finest juried arts and craft shows, are thrilled to return to Sarasota where tourists and residents alike anticipate these first rate art events. “We look forward to producing top quality shows in Sarasota, in fact we return many times throughout the year,” says festival promoter Howard Alan. “Downtown Sarasota is a popular venue and the locals really appreciate our efforts to offer a wide variety of original artwork and crafts with prices set to suit all budgets,” adds Alan.
In order to ensure a superior event with affordable original crafts and quality art, all of the local and national crafters have been hand-selected from hundreds of applicants by American Craft Endeavors, producers of the top outdoor craft festivals in the country.
Whether you are a craft enthusiast or looking for that unique one-of-a-kind gift item, there is something for everyone. From folk art, pottery, handmade jewelry and paintings, to personalized gifts, handmade clothing, scented soaps and body products, a full spectrum of craft art mediums will be on display and for sale with prices ranging from as little as $3 to $3,000. An expansive green market will offer plants, orchids and exotic flora as well as gourmet spices, and freshly popped kettle corn.
