The Turkish food festival was inaugurated by Mr. Farhat Jamal, Area Manager & General Manager, Shangri-La’s – Eros Hotel, New Delhi along with his special guest Mr.Aykut Renda, chargé d’affaires, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey on March 6, 2014 at our All Day Dining restaurant, Cafe Uno.

About Turkish Cuisine:
Turkish cuisine or Türk mutfağı is largely the heritage of Ottoman cuisine, which can be described as a fusion and refinement of Central Asian, Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Balkan cuisines. About Chef Gazi Ciftci
Gazi Çiftçi was born in 1984 in Bolu, Turkey, a city famous with its chefs. He started his Chef Education at 12 years old at Culinary Vocational School and had 7 years of theoretical and operational training at the most famous 5 star hotels of Turkey and graduated at 2002.
At 2002, he started to work at Margaux, one of the first fine dining restaurants of Istanbul. He went to Ankara, capital of Turkey to complete his military service and was chosen to be the Chef of speciality kitchen serving the General Officers. He cooked special meals for President and Prime Minister of Turkey along with local and international bureaucrats. He was granted many letters of appreciation for his accomplishments.
After completing his military service in 2007 he started to work at first class restaurants. At May, 2007 he went to London to work at a Turkish restaurant, Turkuaz as an Executive Chef. After 1 year he went to work at a fine dining French Restaurant in Greenwich, The Spread Eagle for 2 year as Sous Chef. In 2010 he returned back to Turkey.
When he came back to Turkey, he started to work at 360 as Sous Chef, one of the best restaurants of Istanbul. After working for 3 years at 360 in February 2013, he joined Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul and he is still a part of Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul team.
