Tea is Good for your Health

Being one of China community dietitians, I have had a good education on nutritional practices designed to prevent disease and promote good health. My recipe for health is tea. It has the medical benefit and it is also a most common beverage.

Drinking tea, enjoying it as a beverage, provides you with, in a sense, medicinal levels of antioxidants! You can find how the tea can help your body e.g. weightloss, prevent infection and boost the immunity, fight off viruses attacks, improve dental health and bone density, sharpen the mind, helps you focus and stimulates your thinking, delays the ageing process — increase antioxidant enzymes, reduces cancer risk – as an ant-carcinogen….etc.

Tea is a simple equation sums up the most popular drink in the world. Yet this everyday drink is far from ordinary. Tea has inspired poetry and porcelain. Tea brightens mornings, refreshes afternoon, and warms nights. Tea soothes frayed nerves and stimulates tired minds. Tea brings people together around food, conversation, and hospitality. Tea has sent trading ships racing around the globe and intertwines with religion, medicine, and art.

In terms of chemistry, a cup of tea is a color-tinged aqueous liquid composed of many water-soluble components that dissipate from the dry leaf on contact with heated water. The most important water-soluble components keep my body healthy in balance: amino acids, tannins, alkaloids, vitamins and minerals….etc. It is very worth for drinking the tea everyday!
