September 30, 2011 (Powerhomebiz.com) In its bid to boost its domestic tourism market, Tourism Australia — the Australia Government agency responsible for the international and domestic marketing of Australia as a destination for leisure and business travel — has launched its newest marketing campaign with the tagline “There’s nothing like Australia”.
The new marketing campaign and website were launched at the end of May 2010, alongside print and digital advertising, plus a video advert broadcast in cinemas and online.
The new marketing campaign has been developed to help create powerful word-of-mouth discussion about Australia by allowing the Australian people to share their favorite Australian place or experience with the world in order to encourage others to apply for Australian holiday visas in order to travel to and through Australia.
‘There’s nothing like Australia’ (TNLA) campaign
Offering 16 Aussie holiday prizes staying at one of the Luxury Lodges of Australia to its winners, the ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ (TNLA) domestic marketing campaign has three key phases of activity taking place during the promotional period namely: Invite —- which ran last 15 August – 30 Sept 2011, Inspire — which is currently running right now until 31 October 2011 then Engage — which will run from November 1 to 30 2011.
The “Invite” phase invited Australians to share their personal stories of where they live and holiday in Australia to show the world why they should visit. Australians were then asked to upload photos of their favorite place or experience in Australia to the campaign website www.nothinglikeaustralia.com and to come up with 25 words or less why they believed ‘There’s nothing like Australia’.
This next phase — “Inspire phase” — will then inspire Aussies to keep sharing their favorite Australian experience with their fellow Aussies at www.nothinglikeaustralia.com.au by profiling images & stories in media outlets and to form a celebrity Dream Team to showcase a dream Australian holiday and to also nominate their holiday Dream Team of up to five people they’d most like to share their dream holiday with. 16 Aussie holiday prizes staying at one of the Luxury Lodges of Australia are waiting for those who will join.
The third phase ––“Engage” — includes localized campaigns for use in Tourism Australia’s international tourism markets where winner stories are shared and footage & editorial from celebrity Dream Team tour are showcased to encourage Aussies to book their Aussie holiday now and take advantage of the upcoming Summer holidays.
