Monitor Your Child’s Internet Activities

Novemner 5, 2012 (Powerhomebiz.com) Do you always get to monitor your child’s online activity? We all know that wise parental control allows you to monitor the internet activities of your children. Now you can save time by zeroing in on suspicious activity. Take control of your child’s online experiences and keep them safe from hackers and internet predators!

The internet can be a wonderful resource for kids. They can use it to research school reports,
communicate with teachers and other students/friends, and play inter-active games. They can, literally, access the world if they can operate computer by pressing letters on keyboard. But remember, that access can also pose hazards if the words are miss-typed. That’s why it’s important to be vigilant of what your kids see and hear on the internet, who they meet and chat, what they share about themselves online, using their PC. The youngsters and teenagers prefer to have their own PC either in the form of used computer, cheap computer or refurbished laptops.

There are various software available in the market and online that will let you control your kid’s access to adult website! Internet monitoring software is developed for home-users. The internet monitoring software records everything your child does when he goes online! This is a life-saver program for parents to monitor their kids online as well as to keep an eye on their beloved children from cyber crimes, online predators, pedophiles and hackers!

teens For this purpose, a Federal Law, called the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), was created to help protect kids online. It’s designed to keep anyone from obtaining a child’s personal information without a parent knowing about it and agreeing to it.

Besides the availability of online tools to help protect and control your kids online, many internet service providers offer parent-control options to block certain material from appearing on your computer. Filtering programs can block sites from coming in and restrict personal information from being sent online. Other programs can track online activity but it’s better to create a screen name to hide their real identity. The young generation opts to buy cheap and used computer to save money. Refurbished computers and used laptops are easily available to meet the growing demands of the youth. Used refurbished computers work excellently with smooth functioning of all accessories and components.

Just like any other safety issue, it’s advisable to talk with your kids about your concerns, take advantage of resources to protect them and keep a close eye on their activities. Become computer literate and learn how to block objectionable material. It’s wise to keep computer in a common area where you can watch and monitor its use. Share an email account with your child so you can monitor messages. Spend time online to teach your kid online appropriate behavior. Forbid your child from posting messages to chat rooms which reveals a user’s email address to others.

Playing an active role in your kid’s internet activity will help ensure their healthy growth, positive attitude in life and for the betterment of their future!
